Reason for Sale;-
Having owned 'Claire Louise' for 5 years , travelled and lived aboard her for that time we are now selling her as business commitments require us to live ashore.
The vessel is currently moored in the River Dart in Devon, UK. on a fore and aft, all tide, trot mooring. This mooring is available, with the boat, if required until 31st March 2011.
All Harbour dues and mooring fees are paid in full up to that date.
Further Information;-
We have only found time to race 'Claire Louise' on three occasions. all with excellent results as follows;-
Placed 4th in Gaffers class in the Swale Barge match in 2007.
'Claire Louise' won 1st in Class at the Devon Gaffers in 2008 and then followed this with 1st in Class, 1st overall and also 1st fibreglass Gaffer over the line in 2009.
Unfortunately we have been unable to compete in 2010, again due to business commitments.
In our ownership we have sailed the Irish sea, the North sea and extensively in the Channel. With the mast stowed on deck we have travelled throughout Europe in the Inland canal network visiting France, Germany, Switzerland and Belgium.
Throughout our ownership she has proved to be an extremely capable and seaworthy vessel with a delightful steady motion at sea, also proving deceptively quick on passage. A joy to own and a pleasure to sail!
